What Are You Waiting For?

“We don’t tend to regret what we do. We regret what we didn’t do.” Wayne Dyer

What are you waiting to do? I don’t think anyone can claim they have done everything they have wanted to do in this life. If that were the case, then you would have stopped dreaming. When you stop dreaming, you stop living. Even if you are fortunate enough to have accomplished all of your goals, each day that you are alive, there is something more you desire to do, even if it’s something simple as calling someone you care about.

What are the things you would like to do that you’ve been putting off or are saving for the “right” time? Of course, there are many things that have been interrupted by the pandemic. And yet, there are so many things that can be addressed now. For example, exercise, home facials, finding a home study course that can help you achieve a goal, financial planning, de-cluttering a space in your home, cleaning out the garage, scheduling a colonoscopy or mammogram.

Think about it and write down one thing that you can commit to starting now. Here’s a little guide.

1) Decide specifically what you want to accomplish. For example, I want to tone my body. I want less jiggle in my wiggle. I won’t bore you with the details, but this called for me to log my weight and measurements so I can document my progress. It’s really beneficial when you have a way to record your before and after. So whatever your goal is, find a way to measure your commitment.

2) List very specific things you will do to achieve it. I have subscribed to a YouTube channel of a trainer that I like. I have created a workout schedule for myself.

3) Assign a timeline to when you will complete it. I am expecting to see measurable results by July 1st. On my timeline, I have check-in points. This can keep you motivated.

4) Find an accountability partner to support you. That person can be someone you just share your intention with or someone who agrees to hold you accountable to your plan. Sometimes just knowing that someone is aware of your plan can make a huge difference. I have made you my accountability partner by sharing my intention with you. I have taken my before pictures and will share my before and after photos upon completion (regardless of the outcome.)

5) Write down how you will celebrate your win. It can be something as simple as treating yourself with a cup of your favorite tea or coffee from your favorite spot or it can be treating yourself to that pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing. You showed up. You worked. You won! You deserve to celebrate.

The important thing is to make a commitment to yourself and keep it!

Feel free to let us know in the comment section what you’re doing. We can be your accountability partner or you can also email me directly if you want to keep it between us. Remember it can be something as simple as journaling daily or purchasing a piece of property. Let’s have fun with this.

“As soon as” has come and gone. Now is your time to dive in.

It’s your time to live your life fully!

Love & Light to you,
